Deconstructed Dirty Chicken Sandwich

this sandwich was inspired by one i ordered at a sports bar near me. came home to try and recreate my own version.

  • Deconstructed Dirty Chicken Sandwich

  • 3 boneless chicken breasts

    8 oz. mushrooms

1/2 of a red onion, chopped

1 lb. bacon, cooked and crumbled

    Honey Mustard

    Cheddar Jack Sliced Cheese

    Sourdough bread or buns

  • Cube chicken breast in to small pieces. In a heated cast iron skillet cook chicken with seasonings of choice, I used an all purpose chicken seasoning, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Remove chicken and cook veggies in same skillet. Toast buns and assemble sandwich with chicken, bacon, veggies and top it off with a slice of cheese and honey mustard.

This is less of a “recipe” but more of a meal idea that could be changed up and served a million different ways.

I would really love to makes this on a Blackstone cook top, and cook all the ingredients on there. I have heard so many good things about cooking on them! Would allow all of the seasonings and oils to come together. It could also be served right off the cook top for a big crowd at a rodeo, camping, or at a tailgate.

**This is as close to the original sandwich as I could get. The amounts used here came out to be enough to make about 5 sandwiches for me.
