Homemade Pizza Dough
pizza night just got better! the thought of making homemade pizza dough can seem a bit daunting. we made this dough and were very pleasantly surprised at how easy it was. The best part was that it made two good sized pizzas for us. we prefer a thinner crust and honestly could have probably STRETCHED this recipe into three thin crusts. We thought it was thin when rolled out but it did rise more than we planned. we still loved it though!
HOMEMADE PIZZA DOUGH
1 c. hot tap water
1 pkg. quick rise yeast
1 TBSP salad/olive oil
1/4 tsp. salt
1 TBSP sugar
2 1/2 c. Better for Bread Flour
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Dissolve yeast in hot water. Add oil, salt, and sugar to yeast mixture. Stir slightly. Add flour and stir until just barely combined. Don’t overwork the dough. Let dough sit while you prepare baking pan and pizza toppings. Generously butter pizza pan with real butter. For thick dough, roll out dough and press gently into pan. For thinner crust, divide dough in half. Roll out each half and press into pan. Top with pizza toppings of choice. Bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
